Eventually, the critics sent him away to college where he received a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since then, Chad has produced a variety of illustrations for print and multimedia. His published children's books include Witchy's Turned Around House (Images Press, 1998), A Day in the Park with Aunt Charlotte (Rigby, 1999), and George Hogglesberry, Grade School Alien (Tricycle Press, 2002).
